Production has been in full swing this winter on “The Small Matter of Big Science”, an hour long documentary exploring the origins and milestones of nuclear science and isotope research. Commissioned by MSU and NSCL, the program features physicists from around the country and highlights the cultural importance of exploration and investment in science infrastructure.
Filming began in Michigan in December and has continued on in California, New York and Chicago. Further shooting in Washington D.C. and Chicago is scheduled for this month. And if you keep your eyes open, you may notice some cameras around the lab.
The project has an expected completion date of mid-summer. Short clips from interview segments will be posted on the NSCL YouTube channel and you will be able to find updates here as production continues.
