Staff: Information Technology Professional

The National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory at Michigan State University is seeking a highly motivated self-starting individual to join its internal web application development team. The selected candidate will be working to create web front ends to support our business processes within the context of the IFS ERP system. Position responsibilities will include Develop and support software in response to work orders submitted to the computer department, develop expertise in software development methodologies and standards and develop expertise in data acquisition software development as it relates to the design, development, and support of data acquisition systems.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

- 2 years experience developing web applications
- 2 years PHP development experience
- 1 year designing database schema for applications
- BS in computer science or other relevant degree or equivalent experience

Desired Education/Experience/Skills:

- Knowledge of CakePHP or other MVS we development framework.
- An understanding of business processes
- Experience with the IFS database schema and stored procedures
