NSCL Alumni Profile

Paul Rutt
Director of Microelectronic Technology and Survivability

A primary focus of my research is the interaction of ionizing radiation with electronic components and systems in aerospace applications. Specific research topics include Single Event Effect (SEE) measurement and mitigation in digital circuits such as high density memories and high performance processor architectures. My work also includes developing and implementing strategies for the qualification of microelectronic components for use in space applications. Anyone interested in learning more about Radiation Effects and the associated career opportunities within the space industry are welcome to contact me for further information.
