NSCL Alumni Profile

Romualdo de Souza
Professor of Chemistry and Physics

I was at NSCL from 1988 - 1991 and worked on some of the last experiments on the K500 as a standalone machine and some of the first of the K1200. During that time in the Gelbke-Lynch-Tsamg group we built the MSU Miniball and pursued some of the early experiments in multifragmentation. My stint at NSCL was followed by my move as a junior faculty member to Indiana University and the IU Cyclotron. NSCL played a pivotal role in launching me on my academic career.
