Abstract:  In this talk I will give first a brief review on what we know about neutrino-nucleon and -nucleus interactions. I will then discuss a transport-theoretical framework to describe neutrino-nucleus interactions and give some details on the GiBUU implementation. I will illustrate the effects of these interactions in past (MiniBooNE) and ongoing (MINERvA, T2K) experiments and, finally, discuss some of the effects relevant for oscillation physics at LBNE (DUNE).
